From 2016 to present, Tap Tap Tours has conducted an approximate amount of 500 tours to individual, families, private groups, schools, business and friends. Tap Tap Tours foundation is based on education. The goal is to inform people of their roots and expose them to other traditional culture practices. These tours are led based on questions that are being ask, which allows the learning process to be fun, spontaneous, and refreshing from people to people. Through the lens of history, culture and architecture guest will have an opportunity to contextualize their own understand of a particular neighborhood.
Diana Contreras (b. Peru, 1981) has established herself as an influential Miami artist. From painting murals in the Urban Art scene to exhibiting canvas pieces in galleries, her work has been seen in exhibitions and private collections in several parts of the world including Street Art Dubai Gallery in Dubai.
Contreras received her B.S. in Art Education and a Post-Graduate of Art in Education from Florida International University. She also studied abroad in Florence, Italy where she focused on Art History. Additionally, Contreras was enrolled at the Art Students League of New York in New York City.
Mexican Born local artist Paloma Dueñas, creates handcrafted art, jewelry and original photography art. Focusing on all that is Mexican inspired: La Loteria Mexicana, who is Frida Kahlo? and the focus on educating the community about the real meaning and tradition of the celebration of Day of the Dead.
Javier’s a local Miami artist that enjoys working with his hands and making beautiful things. He specializes in finding, cutting, sanding and the illustrating on slabs of wood. The warmth and organic feel he gets from using a canvas with life is something he finds exhilarating. Javier says: “Nature is already a work of art. What better way to expand on that perfection and make something truly unique to the eye. I make every piece myself and they range from large to small, custom coasters to illustrations.”
Ivana Tarraza is the artist behind “Anatomiko”, in 2016 she created a collection of illustrations that combined the human anatomy and nature. The artist was inspired in the anatomy because of her mother, who was a nurse and would share medical anecdotes. The artist was born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico, the island’s natural landscapes served as an inspiration for her artwork.
